When you place an order, there are two key factors that determine when your items will arrive: production lead time and shipping time. Let’s clarify both to help you understand how they work together.
- Production Lead Time: This is the time it takes for us to create, assemble, or prepare your product after your order is placed. This is usually specified in the product details on our website, and it varies depending on the type of product. Please keep in mind that production times do not change if you select an expedited shipping method. We’ll still need the usual time to prepare your order, regardless of the shipping option you choose.
- Shipping Time: Once your product has been produced and is ready to ship, we’ll send it out via your chosen shipping method. If you’ve selected expedited shipping (like 2-day shipping), the shipping time starts once your item leaves our warehouse and is accepted by the carrier (FedEx, for example). So, 2-day shipping will be calculated from the moment the product is in the hands of the shipping provider—not from the moment the order is placed.
Example: How Shipping and Production Times Work Together
To make this clearer, here’s an example:
- Suppose you place an order that has a production lead time of 7 business days.
- If you choose 2-day shipping, the 7 business days will still apply to production.
- Once your item is produced and shipped out, the 2-day shipping time will begin.
This means, in total, you should expect the delivery to take 7 business days for production + 2 days for shipping, but the shipping will happen only after production is complete.
